My Life....in 10 Years

Well this is most definitely an interesting blog assignment. Ten years from now seems like such a long time, I will be in my 30s! I would like to have the most amazing wife and probably a few kids by this time. Hopefully I will have a good job that provides enough income so my wife does not have to work a lot. 30 is not all that old career wise so realistically I can not assume to have a really high paying job where i don't put in a ton of hours. I would like to be around the upstate because I love my hometown of Greer and the Greenville area. My family would not be far away from the coast and the mountains....I LOVE both of these two! I have not traveled that much in life but I do enjoy it a lot so hopefully in ten years I will have been overseas to see interesting places and you never know, maybe a house on the Mediterranean. Overall, I don't really know how my life will play in the next ten years, but I cant wait to see how it unfolds!

Web 2.0

I liked this video, but it is a tad scary some things it shed light on. In my opinion I think the subject “Web 2.0” means that the internet is used for a lot of other things now, not just the traditional stuff. It is now being used for networking, more intense file sharing, and even sketchy, illegal things that a lot of bad people do to take advantage of other people. I had never thought about how the internet could affect new people trying to enter the workforce before but I definitely think it does now after seeing this video. Facebook alone is basically affecting everyone in a million kinds of ways. But in businesses in particular it is affecting it a lot. People can now have video conferences with the touch of the button or business data and information sharing could not be easier. It affects people already in the workplace because it allows for clients and other people to have meetings no matter where they are in the world. The part of the clip I agree with the most is that we need to rethink everything. If we are not careful, the internet could become out of control and the biggest weapon for anyone to use.

Introduction to myself

Well then, I never thought I would be writing a blog on wonderful blogger.com. My name is Ryan Henson and I am a Junior management major. I am taking the business writing class because it is a requirement for me. I always hate doing these introduction assignments at the beginning of every semester. I am from Greer, SC and have lived in the upsate all of my life. I have always been a Clemson fan so the application process for college was very simple, one application with no entry essays to Clemson was all I had to do. The past two and half years have been the best in my life and it's sad whenever you think of graduation. I would like to think I have made the most of my time here at Clemson so far though. I am a Young Life leader at McCants Middle School, I am involved with several organizations on campus, and I love doing everything but school work ha! So in the spirit of business writing, i am cutting this blog short and keeping it efficient. See ya next week.
